OUR WORK
Our work is wet and cold, salt-stained and joyful. We strive to introduce visitors to specimens they may never have considered before but are important cornerstones of healthy marine environments.
We love to share knowledge but are also constantly searching for new ways to understand the network of life around us. We study our local ecosystems so that we may better represent them, and highlight priorities for ensuring their success.
From microplastic distribution to sea star wasting syndrome prevalence, we spend time learning outside of the aquarium so that we may share our knowledge with you within it. We are currently learning about the health of our local harbour, how it supports our local culture and economy, and all the other creatures we share it with.
We invite you to join us, either by supporting our work, or visiting us to learn about it.
